Antoinette Queen size quilt is a beautiful quilt. The fabric collection, Antoinette, by French General for Moda Fabrics is a very romantic collection of muted blues, reds, creams, taupe and soft grey. These fabrics are a nod to traditional /classic French decor; small prints, botanicals and birds in colours typically seen in the 18th and 19th century. Think Marie Antoinette at Versailles. I chose an off white background and the pretty muted red near solid to accent the collection. The pattern Lavender Fields by Robert Kaufman is a beautiful lattice design which embraces the garden feel of the fabrics. The traditional quilting design Baptist Fan unifies the quilt without competing with the piecing. A soft grey/taupe on cream for the backing is a lovely compliment to the top of the quilt and shows the quilting beautifully.

Materials: All new 100% cotton quilting fabrics. Quality 80% cotton/ 20% polyester batting which is breathable, soft and adds a lovely cosiness to the quilt. Double fold binding is machine stitched to the quilt. Fabrics have not been pre-washed so first washing will produce a delightfully wrinkly result and 3-5% shrinkage will occur.
